Portland Ultimate is offering a 4-week clinic for new and beginner players who identify as women, trans (masc or fem), or gender nonconforming (nonbinary, gender fluid, etc.). This clinic is for those who identify as beginners; whether you've never touched a disc or have played some and would like to improve your throws and/or understanding of the game. By the end of the four weeks you will make friends, improve your game, and feel confident to join one of our fall leagues which begin shortly after your last class. Our clinic will be led by experienced woman-matching and gender expansive-matching ultimate players who will teach you the fundamentals of the sport in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. The coaches are players in our PU leagues, and can offer additional support transitioning into league play. The sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings, 6 pm - 8 pm, from 8/19-9/9. The location of this clinic is permit pending, but we have requested Clinton Park Upper Field. Take this opportunity to learn the how to play ultimate frisbee or continue to improve your skills. Cost is $20 (disc included). If you join a fall league then the cost of this class will be credited toward your registration cost. Portland Youth Ultimate Elementary School Fall League 2025! This is an all-gender, elementary school league with a division for 3rd/4th grade teams and a division for 4th/5th grade teams. Your coach will provide details about practices and team color for the season. Portland Ultimate believes that sports are more than just a game; they are an opportunity to develop players and help them become their best selves. One of the core values of ultimate is spirit of the game, which focuses on the importance of respecting the game, knowing the rules, clarity of communication, and respect for others. Check out our Youth League Eligibility Policy for more information about the league's school-based team policy. Details Division: 3rd/4th grade division When: Sundays, September 13th - October 25th Time: 10am-12pm - PERMIT PENDING! Where: Clinton City Park - PERMIT PENDING! Format: 4v4 ultimate. Weeks 1 and 2 will have 1 game with time to practice beforehand. Subsequent weeks will have 2 games. Roster Size: Rosters must have at least 8 players and no more than 12 players, though our recommended roster size is 10. We strongly encourage a minimum of 3 girl-matching players. High School Fall League 2026 PYU's Open League welcomes players of all genders. Players should expect to mark or be marked by players of a different gender. This is especially true of players who identify as girls or girl matching, as the majority of players in this league identify as boys or boy matching. Portland Ultimate respects and affirms people of all gender identities. We welcome all players and want them to participate in the leagues in which they feel most comfortable and safe based on their gender identity. We do not require that anyone provide any kind of personal information beyond those required of cisgender athletes in order to participate in this league. This is an all-gender, school-based high school league with two divisions: Varsity and JV. School-based teams can expect 7 weeks of games at Glenhaven Park on Sundays. Portland Ultimate believes that sports are more than just a game; they are an opportunity to develop players and help them become their best selves. One of the core values of ultimate is spirit of the game, which encapsulates many things including respecting the game, the rules, ourselves, and others. High School Fall League 2026 PYU's Open League welcomes players of all genders. Players should expect to mark or be marked by players of a different gender. This is especially true of players who identify as girls or girl matching, as the majority of players in this league identify as boys or boy matching. Portland Ultimate respects and affirms people of all gender identities. We welcome all players and want them to participate in the leagues in which they feel most comfortable and safe based on their gender identity. We do not require that anyone provide any kind of personal information beyond those required of cisgender athletes in order to participate in this league. This is an all-gender, school-based high school league with two divisions: Varsity and JV. School-based teams can expect 7 weeks of games at Glenhaven Park on Sundays. Portland Ultimate believes that sports are more than just a game; they are an opportunity to develop players and help them become their best selves. One of the core values of ultimate is spirit of the game, which encapsulates many things including respecting the game, the rules, ourselves, and others. Welcome to Rec Mixed Fall League 2026 Portland Ultimate's Rec League is for players looking for a beginner-friendly atmosphere to play ultimate. We welcome adult players (18+) of all skill levels who prioritize safety and inclusivity. This is a great league to try out ultimate for the first time, work on something new, or improve your skills. If you would prefer a more competitive atmosphere then we suggest you register for Competitive Mixed Fall League. Registration opens on August 10th. We recommend registering early as we'll most likely have to waitlist players. Waitlisted players will have pending status, and will not be charged unless they are eventually accepted into league. All accepted registrations are subject to the league reaching its target gender-matching balance. Should the league fail to achieve the desired gender-matching balance, some registrations may be refunded regardless of initial status. League Format: Fall 2026 will be a 7v7 draft league. Players may request baggage (up to one player). Both players must name each other in the survey during registration. We'll try to accommodate baggage but make no promises. Captains will meet before league begins to draft their teams. This creates balanced teams to ensure a fun and competitive season. Captains: Captains are one of the most important component of our leagues.
