Open High School Fall League 2026
High School Fall League 2026 PYU's Open League welcomes players of all genders. Players should expect to mark or be marked by players of a different gender. This is especially true of players who identify as girls or girl matching, as the majority of players in this league identify as boys or boy matching. Portland Ultimate respects and affirms people of all gender identities. We welcome all players and want them to participate in the leagues in which they feel most comfortable and safe based on their gender identity. We do not require that anyone provide any kind of personal information beyond those required of cisgender athletes in order to participate in this league. This is an all-gender, school-based high school league with two divisions: Varsity and JV. School-based teams can expect 7 weeks of games at Glenhaven Park on Sundays. Portland Ultimate believes that sports are more than just a game; they are an opportunity to develop players and help them become their best selves. One of the core values of ultimate is spirit of the game, which encapsulates many things including respecting the game, the rules, ourselves, and others. Check out our Youth League Eligibility Policy for more information about the league's school-based team policy. Details Who: Grades 9th-12th. Everyone is welcome: new or experienced. We will have both a Varsity and JV division so everyone can find their fit! Check with you school team's coach to see if you should sign up for Varsity or JV. Don't have a team? Sign up as an individual (free agent)! Division: JV When: Sundays, September 14th-October 26th Time: 2:00 -4:00 pm (Game start 2:30 pm) Where: Glenhaven Park Format: 5v5 ultimate with 1 game per week. Division: Varsity When: Sundays, September 14th-October 26th Time: 4:00 - 6:00 pm (Game start 4:30 pm) Where: Glenhaven Park Format: 7v7 ultimate with 1 game per week. Coach Registration Coaches + Team Organizers must register themselves as a coach or team organizer first and submit a team name in the process. After the coach or team organizer registers the team then it will be open for players to register under. Check out this Video tutorial for coaches/team organizers on how to register your team Portland Ultimate strives for all league teams to be school-based or based on geography. Players who register for a league are assigned to a team based on their school geography. In general, this means teams based on players who attend the same school. If the player’s neighborhood school does not have an affiliated team, the player may play on a school-affiliated team closest to their home address. See below for details on how to register for the correct team. Player Registration Players need to play with their school team. If you do not have an established school team and do not wish to create one then sign up as an individual and we will try out best to place you with the closest team to you geographically. Option 1: Join Your School’s Team On your registration form- select your school’s team. Enter team password from your coach. If your team isn’t listed then your coach has not registered it yet or it is full. Sign up as a Free Agent (see below), and we’ll place you if space opens up. Option 2: Start a School Team If your school doesn’t have a team then consider starting one! Teams need at least one head coach. Contact us for support and resources. Option 3: Sign Up as a Free Agent If your school does not have a team or it is full Free Agents are marked as "Pending" until assigned. Expect a placement update end of August to early September Pricing Portland Ultimate believes finances should never act as a barrier for members to participate in ultimate. Please select the registration fee that best suits your financial situation. The cost for us to put on this league is $85 per person. If you’re able then we invite you to play it forward by selecting the higher tiered fee. This helps us provide scholarships for players in the future and helps fund PU.
